Letter from Sarah Duchess of Marlborough to Bishop Burnet on the Earl of Dartmouth succeeding the Earl of Sunderland, the Duchess' son-in-law, as Secretary of State. She explains that [John, 1st Duke of] Marlborough had sent the queen [Queen Anne] a letter "as nobody else could read with out weeping" asking her to wait until the end of the campaign for the "Publick good" and comments on the strange beginning of the ministry. She discusses Burnet adding this information to his history and thanks him for sending her his sermon. Signed manuscript. Includes explanatory note about the letter.
