Letter from [John, 7th Duke of] Marlborough (Seaham Hall [Durham]) to [Edmond Warre] expressing concern about a poor report of [Lord] Randolph [Churchill's] conduct at Eton school. He discusses Randolph's improvement under the tuition of Mr Carter and his faults which are "a want of self control...and an imperiousness of disposition"; argues that he should not be expelled from the school and recommends that he should be supervised more closely. Signed manuscript. Typescript copies at CHAR 28/112/8-15.
