Letter from Lord Hamilton of Dalzell, Dalzell, Motherwell, Scotland, to WSC, on the case of Dr Edward Yeates. Yeates had joined the New Zealand Expeditionary Force as a Medical Officer in 1914, he had reported unfavourably on the situation and sanitation of a large camp, and had been removed from his appointment. He eventually found himself in London, where he was convicted for wearing uniform without authority. Yeates claimed that this was a case of persecution by the Government of New Zealand, and was appealing against the conviction. Enclosing copy of letter dated 7 Feb 1922 from Sir John Findlay who represented Yeates in his first appeal.
