New Exhibition on Churchill and Public Speaking!

Churchill, although now hailed as one of history’s greatest orators, worked very hard to develop his speech-making (and to overcome a speech impediment). He used his great skill with the written word, and his exhaustive approach to rehearsing its delivery, to influence an international audience, raising morale at home and sending messages of defiance to the enemy and calls to arms to allies. See our new Exhibition, showcasing a selection of documents that trace Churchill’s development as a speech-maker, the long years of dedication to the art of oratory, and how he used the power of the spoken word to influence the world.
